Terms of Service

BritSpeech is an accent-training tool. It gives you feedback on how close your speech is to Received Pronunciation and offers lessons to help you improve. It is a coaching aid, not a certification.

You may use BritSpeech for your own learning. Please do not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app, and do not use it to harass or impersonate anyone.

The app is free to download and try. Any paid plan is sold and billed through the Apple App Store under its terms, and you manage or cancel it in your App Store account. Renewals and refunds follow Apple's store rules that apply to you.

If your selected subscription includes a free trial, the trial duration and the price charged afterwards are shown before you subscribe. The subscription automatically renews at that price unless you cancel. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.

BritSpeech does not send a separate trial-ending reminder. You can check your renewal date and manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account. This does not affect any notices provided by Apple, your ability to request a refund from Apple, or your statutory consumer rights.

Accents improve with practice, and progress varies from person to person. We do not promise a specific score or that you will sound a particular way by a particular date.

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, BritSpeech is not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the product. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be excluded by law.

We may update these terms and will post changes here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
